Artisanal Clothing: Modern Women. Modern Threads. Modern Vibes. PROMO CODE: RACHELMICHELLA306/3/2018 The summer time is finally here, despite that one day of extreme rain, and cold, that we had on Saturday. C'mon June, get it together! However, when the sunshine comes everyone's mood tends to brighten. One of my favorite things to do is get a large venti strawberry asai, with lemonade, from Starbucks, and go shopping at local boutiques that I find in Chicago. When you're doing your window shopping, or picking out gifts for friends, you want to be comfortable, but also trendy. I had so much fun walking around Chicago's Lincoln Park area in my silk sea green cami dress. The fabric is so soft to the touch, it's comfortable, and practically feels like a second skin! It's great for running errands, like getting your daily coffee, or meeting a friend out for lunch.
I am obsessed with the color, almost reminds me of a mermaid, but this dress comes in a plethora of other colors as well. If you're like me, on the shorter side, you're constantly looking for ways to accentuate your legs. I decided to tie my dress so that it comes right above my knee. I'm also 5'5, so, if you're on the taller side you may not have to customize it or tie it up. I love how green and brown go together so I wore some brown sandal heels and my gold Kate Spade necklace that I absolutely adore. You should all check out Artisanal clothing they have some great items that you can grab! Did I mention this awesome dress is under 25 dollars! Such a steal, also, if you want to get 30 percent off use my discount code: RACHELMICHELLA30! Have a wonderful week loves and remember to smile! P.S. Since it was a long weekend I got to spend some much needed time with my girlfriends. We got to go out and spend a summer night, drinking, and socializing at Park and Field, which I suggest everyone goes to visit! I was so excited when Dokotoo fashion reached out to me and sent me some awesome items. One of the items that was sent was a floral laced body suit that was absolutely perfect for going out! Not only is the material light and airy, but it is so fun to match it with different items. It's figure flattering with a plunging neckline and adjustable spaghetti straps. The best thing about this body suit is that it can be paired with anything. I decided to make it more casual by either putting on a mini white skirt with it, or some sparkly shorts that I got from Akira. Did I mention it's built in cups? How comfortable and convenient. There's something so elegant about wearing all white, plus, it gives me a better tan, which one can never complain about. It's also reasonably priced and surprisingly it didn't take long to ship! I was also sent this sexy plunge v-neck blouse as well. If you need to wear this on a casual dinner date, or just walking around the city, this shirt is the perfect amount of classy and fun! I highly suggest you guys go and check out Dokotoo fashion! They have some great, reasonable clothing on their website just in time for summer!
Until next time, xoxo Rachel Website link below--------------------------> https://www.dokotoo.com/ Item one:https://www.dokotoo.com/product/acelitt-womens-sexy-floral-lace-bustier-bodysuit-shapewear-lingerie/ Item two: https://www.dokotoo.com/product/roskiki-womens-plunge-v-neck-blouse-cross-front-sleeveless-choker-drape-surplice-wrap-tank-tops/ Guys, I am so excited because it is finally starting to feel like the summer time. This whole week has been in the 80's and 90's and I cannot help but spend as much time outside as possible! I love the outdoors, especially when it's beautiful weather, but I love dressing for the warm weather even more. I was too excited to pair this light tiny strapped shirt from Alya boutique, with some scalloped floral shorts from Nina's, by Stone cold Fox. Just being able to wear some color, on top of getting in some sunshine, made this long weekend a bunch of fun! It was quite warm so I decided to braid my hair into a fish-tail. I don't know about you guys, but when it gets warm, I don't want any type of hair on me. I'd rather keep my hair out of my face so I won't sweat too much! The fish-tail was super easy and fun to do! If you don't know how to complete the hair-do I suggest going on youtube and looking up tutorials. That is how I actually learned how to do mine. Of course it wouldn't be a perfect summer day without some delicious ice cream. I normally don't eat a lot of sugary sweets (more of a chip and salty type person) however, my go to for ice cream is anything with cookie-dough inside of it. How could you say no to that? I hope you all have a fantastic long weekend! I wish there were more like this one. Remember to soak up the sun as much as you can! I swear it heightens the mood. I will be working on some new projects so keep watch, I'll have some fun stuff, plus discount codes, to post within the next couple weeks! Till next time loves, xoxo Rachel Guys, it finally is starting to feel a bit like summer! I was so excited that we spiked into the 80's this week! I spent my weekend celebrating Cinco De Mayo, drinking margaritas, and enjoying the much needed sunshine. I have never been a huge fan of darker lips or colors. Browns, oranges, or anything relating to that family, has always been a turn off for me to wear. However, this year I promised myself that I would step out of my comfort and try to do styles that I normally wouldn't do. I am a HUGE fan of these short high-waisted shorts. I got them from Akira (size small), and I love them because you can make them super dressy or super casual depending on the look you are trying to accomplish. I got the backless shirt from Forever 21(size small) and guess what, it was under 20.00! I decided to class it up a tad because my husband and I were attending a Cinco De Mayo luncheon. Therefore, I added a bit of costume jewerly that I ordered from Amazon, and paired it with some nude colored heels from Guess. I had so much fun creating this fun, dark inspired look for you all! Remember, to get out of your comfort zone. You never know what you may discover you'll like! Everyone who knows me can sense that pink is my favorite color. The month of April brought about different changes for me. Not only were there tons of birthdays, but, one of my closest friends moved away. There were causes for lots of celebrations and sometimes, a new expressive outfit, is not within the budget. Not to mention it has been in the 50's and 60's the last couple days. So a turn in wardrobe was in order. If you're like me, on a budget, then digging through your closet, and coming up with new interesting ideas, is your best-friend. I love Kate Spade, she is my favorite designer, therefore, this outfit was inspired by her design. Kate Spade is notorious for using bright, vibrant, colors and polka dots. Therefore, pairing this black and white mini button up skirt, with this bright pink blazer, popped into my mind. Best part is that it was hanging in my closet! I totally forgot I had these items and decided to pair them together. You never know what type of designs you can come up with if you take a gander and blend different items. The blazer is from Forever 21 so is the skirt. Both items were under 30! It can be worn during a girls night out, or a date night. I tried to switch up the different styles. If you're afraid of a bit of color you can take the blazer off and use the simple black and white color scheme. Moral of the story is to make it your own because ultimately it's what makes you comfortable! I am so excited for the summer months to come! I hope to be sharing more outfit ideas with you all! Until then, don't forget to live colorfully! xoxox I have been a huge Pride and Prejudice buff since I was a little girl. Sometimes, I even believe I was born in the wrong era. The minimalist fashion of that day is elegant and something that helped me customize this look for my first spring post! I am a huge fan of flowing colorful skirts. I always look for something that I can wear inside my classroom and I feel very 'teacher' with this look. This entire outfit, that I'm sporting, is from Forever 21. I love this coral colored billowy skirt. I wanted something very simple up top so I decided to go with a white silk blouse. It reminds me so much of something you'd see back in the 1900's, all I need is a ribbon hat and some white gloves. The setting definitely helps with the lighthouse framed in the background. I wanted to try and create a story from this picture. My photographer and I collaborated on different ideas and I love the color scheme and how, if you look close enough, you wonder, what is this picture about, or who is she waiting for? I had a blast shooting one of the spring looks that I had in my head. Hopefully, we get a bit nicer weather in Chicago because I think I speak for everyone, when I say, good-bye 30's and 40's, bring on the 70's and 80's! Have a fantastic Friday! Let the weekend begin! Hey Trendsetters, Happy Easter! I am finally on Spring Break which is awesome because I am able to get the much needed rest that I have been craving. I hope you all had a fantastic Easter, filled with family, food, and of course fun! I have never been a fan of the color yellow. I remember buying a shirt, back in high-school, at Hollister. The sales rep approached me, to tell me that the color yellow, simply wasn't 'my color.' It has stuck with me throughout the years. It's insane how small things, especially criticisms, follow you throughout your life. Therefore, I was a bit hesitant when I tried on this mustard colored jumpsuit from Forever 21. I was apprehensive at first but I promised myself that this new year I will NOT let fear hold me back. The wonderful thing about fashion is you can be as bodacious as you want to be. Ultimately, I get dressed for me, and do what makes me feel beautiful. I loved this floral jumpsuit and I decided that small comments, wouldn't deter me from getting something that I enjoyed. This flowing material was perfect for Easter. It was a bit chilly in Chicago so I wanted something comfortable, long, and of course a bit of fun. It was perfect for eating, loose fitting, and not constricting, especially because I was moving a bunch during mass. I paired my wardrobe masterpiece with a beautiful pale pink Kate Spade purse that I am simply obsessed with! A Easter outfit wouldn't be complete without some spicy heels and my shoes were definitely made for walking! Not only were they super fun, with their interesting design, but it wasn't a painful shoe to walk in. Holidays can be so much fun especially when you dab into some creative ideas on what to wear. Remember to do what YOU love, create your own fashion, because at the end it's what makes you feel beautiful. Thanks so much for checking in, don't forget to smile. Until next time. xoxo I love color, in fact, I'm the person that tries to add a splash of color to my wardrobe whenever I possibly can. In high-school I was known as the girl who color coordinated everything from my jewelry, to my head bands, all the way down to my water bottles (I'd bedazzle them). Luckily, I have gotten older and a tad bit more sophisticated. Yet, it doesn't mean that I completely cut color out of my wardrobe. Bringing a splash of color to the dreary grey months is always needed. It's like a vibrant rainbow in the midst of a storm. Therefore, I adore adding little bits of vibrant colors, like my pink jacket, to a regular black and white attire. I saw this jacket a couple years ago and I knew that I had to get it because it describes me so well. I found it at Marshals and couldn't put it down once I bought it. It's a perfect mix for fall and spring, you can wear it for both. It's durable and actually pretty comfortable and heavy for those windy Chicago days. The turtle neck is subtle and comfortable to wear especially for those long walks to the train, bus, or even to your car. My pants are polka dots that are perfect for the holiday, of course they're my favorite designer Kate Spade. I got the knee high black boots from Akira, and guess what, they were on sale! Check out Akira on black Friday for some awesome deals on boots! I had to appease the small high-school student in me by matching my necklace to my coat. I found the necklace on amazon and it's a perfect statement piece to tie everything together! I hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving! Remember, to eat lots of food and spend time chatting with the people you admire and love the most. I'm currently in Connecticut, which is seriously the most beautiful state! Maybe I will post some more about it in the next coming days! Until next time! xoxoxo Anyone that knows me understands that my favorite thing to do for the holiday is eat, see family, and get dressed up for the holidays! There's nothing like that special time of year where you can get a little bit more dolled up than normal. That is why I was so excited to spend time with some of my closest friends for a Friendsgiving. The older I get the more I realize that friends kind of take the place of your family. Of course your family is important too, but, you realize that you can spend holidays and cultivate traditions with your friends as well. I was in charge of getting the ham for this Friendsgiving, and I have to say I was quite excited. It's nice making your own purchases and creating memories with people who are important to you in your life. Now, for the fun part! I had so much fun coming up with an outfit for this Friendsgiving. Granted it was a bit colder outside so I had to stay reasonable. However, after digging through my closet I found a flowy mustard colored shirt that I obtained from Shop Sanem. Funny story about this shirt, I saw it at a Fashion event, on another model, and I knew that I had to wear it! I was nervous about the color, however, after speaking with the designer, Sanem D'Angelo, I knew that I could rock it as well! If you want to see more of her awesome designs you can find her on IG:Shopsanems. The skirt, was surprisingly laying around in my closet. It's nice when you're doing some cleaning and you find something you forgot you even had! I love the color navy, especially for fall, it helps that there's some fun funky little anchors on the skirt as well. The designer of the skirt is J.Crew and I love it paired with the mustard colored shirt, it made everything pop a little bit more. The shoes, which are my favorite, are a yellow color that I simply love! I found them online and I simply HAD to get them. The designer is Kristen Cavallari, and if you're a fan of the Hills, like I am, it would make it that much more special to wear the shoe. My necklace is from my all time favorite designer, Kate Spade, my husband got it for me on my birthday. It's a simple chain with a pearl at the bottom, which is my birth stone. If you're feeling cold you can always pair this outfit with some fleece leggings or stockings on the bottom and add boots instead of heels. That's the beauty of fashion, it describes you, so you can customize and do whatever makes you happy! I hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving! I can't wait to see everyone's outfits. Until next time. xoxox Women are beautiful and powerful creatures in their own right. After posting one of my pictures, which I was a bit hesitant about, I had so many loving and positive comments from women. It made me realize that even though sometimes it seems like the world is against you there's times where we all stick together. I got some of the pictures back that were used for the magazine and I am proud that I accepted and completed this work. I want to thank everyone who gave me the confidence and love because it truly shows that you all care! I hope you enjoy and happy Friday!
