Yesterday, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the 30th anniversary of the Chicago Style Wedding Magazine! The event took place at Bridgeport Art Center, which is a stylish gallery that practically looked like it belonged inside of Gossip Girl. The event had a dress code, white only, and the guests that attended were the esteemed in the wedding and party planning world. There were wonderful treasures that they provided there. The food was phenomenal and the drinks were endless! One of my favorite vendors for food was Chic Chef Catering. Their food looked fresh, decorative, and the founder Ravi, was very kind (He let me take a plate of food). He is a wedding chief guru, and I suggest that bride to be's check out his website: ChicChefCatering.com. Another favorite, was Vanille Chicago, they had baked goods that were to die for! Have you ever had caramel macrons? I hadn't until yesterday, and let me tell you they changed my life! You can find more information, along with pricing, on their website which is vanillepatisserie.com.
They also had a photo-booth, that not only took long shots but one that took selfies and gifs.
For all the wedding people out there I recommend you order a selfie photo-booth! It was so simple and it had several options to where you could receive the photo. I had mine texted straight to my phone, however, you could email, Facebook, or tweet the photo right from the photo-booth!
It was a wonderful experience meeting some of the best of the best in the wedding business. I honestly wish I would have come here before I had my wedding because it gave me so much more insight into wedding planning and decorating.
Towards the end the account executive, Jackie Gilbert, came up and spoke about all the fabulous vendors that came and supported. She was a doll, and even introduced herself to my friend's and I. They ended the night by giving out their brand new spread of Chicago Style Weddings! The new magazine is fabulous, filled with pops of color with great tips and ideas! As a wife and late bride I suggest everyone who is getting married take some of the tips from the magazine, it will make your life a bit easier.
Overall, it was such a fun event! Although my feet practically had blisters at the end of the night (don't ever wear heels when you stand the whole time) I would do it over and over again! I cannot wait to see what Chicago Style Magazine brings in the next 30 years!
Until next time! Happy Friday, may your weekends be long and your beers strong!
