We've all been there: It's Friday night, you're beat, on a budget but still want to be semi social. You're tired of wearing heels, or anything glamorous in general, and you simply want to put on a cute baggy shirt and comfortable pants. The solution is simple, invite your closest girlfriends over and do a movie night!
Yes, the luxury of streaming Netflix, Hulu, HBO GO, and on Demand is yours for the taking. The best part is you don't have to leave your living room couch!
Now you're probably thinking that can get a little pricey, you have to feed people if they come over. It's true, it's always nice to have a little food to share but you don't have to break the bank.
Normally, I shop and Mariano's and they have cheaper selections of cheese, pretzels, along with chips and dip. You can make it cute, decorating your table with little napkins and coasters without spending over twenty dollars! Now, if you're feeling like a Rockefeller you can buy a frozen pizza and some small snacks to go with it. Tony's and Red Baron are one of my personal favorites because I love extra cheese. I discovered at Mariano's that they have great wine for under 5 dollars! I recommend browsing the wine section, they have some gems along their aisles.
It's a great way to catch up with friends, sharing glasses of wine, and just basking in each other's laughter. There's also lots of great options to watch on television, pick a fantastic show and just binge watch the entire thing! The options are endless.
Now, if you're feeling a bit daring, and want to go out and get some sun, do a small little picnic by the beach. It's fun and easy, you can either make small sandwiches with wine, or keep it simple and do chips or veggies with hummus. It can be simple and you can get some great views of the lake while doing so.
It can be fun to watch the sunset, while gabbing with your close friend/s, Chicago is full of wonders you just have to find them.
Until next update!
Remember to stay smiling!
