Growing up, yellow was never a color I was comfortable with. I did a recent post about how I would never even look at the color. However, one of my new years resolutions was to get out of my comfort zone, and wear something I normally wouldn't. Colors and styles is what I challenged myself to do. I've become quite fond of the mustard color, it fits with all different types of skin tones. Recently, the bow-knot two piece has become increasingly popular. Not only is it comfortable but it's also quite trendy! I love how it extenuates the smaller frames. I'm only 5'5, with a smaller torso, however, the way this two piece fits, can give the illusion of length where areas seem small. I paired this two piece with a bright pink flower necklace and the same color heels. Sometimes, it's fun to get out of your comfort zone, so I am dedicating this post to my least favorite color, yellow. Below, I am listing the top 3 outfits that I think would be flattering on everyone! The outfit that I am wearing is from Artisinal clothing, remember you can get 30% off using discount code: Rachelmichella30! LINK:artisanal.clothing/ Option number 1: I am all about summery dresses. There's nothing better then getting off of work, with the sun shining, going out to meet friends or a significant other in a nice airy dress. This Donna Morgan dress, from Nordstrom rack, is perfect for any body type. It comes to just below the knee and has a lovely ruffle sleeve and boat-neck. This color yellow is one of my favorites because it's not too bright but not extremely dark either. It complements lighter skin tones and also looks fabulous on dark ones. It can be worn in the office with a pair of open-toed shoes, and a blazer, then perfect for a girl's night out as well. Did I mention it's under 40?! Imagine going out to a nice, candle-lit dinner, with someone you care about. If you want to go that extra mile, and feel sexy, this dress is perfect for you! I love how this dress comes off the shoulder, revealing the delicate aspects of skin, while upholding a classy and sophisticated vibe. This John Zack dress, paired with some black heels, would be perfect for a dinner date night. Falling just under 70, it wouldn't fully break the budget. Besides, aren't we allowed a few indulgences from time to time? I love everything about them, from the style, to the comfort, to the overall thrill that you feel while wearing them. This embroidered, off the shoulder, mustard colored romper is simply to die for! Chicago has a lot of free street festivals coming up and this would be a great outfit to wear to that. I would pair this with some comfortable brown sandals and some big sunglasses, in this outfit prepare to walk in style this summer! The beautiful thing about rompers is that it's form fitting for all body shapes, making everyone feel confident, crisp, and cool! Yellow can be tricky, believe me, I used to not like wearing it. However, sometimes, fashion is about stepping out of what makes you comfortable and diving into the unknown. I hope I gave you some inspiration for a color that can hopefully bring some sunshine into your life.
Until next time happy friday!! xoxo Rachel
