Kate Spade Challenge
Anyone who knows me can tell that Kate Spade is my favorite designer. In fact, if I had all the tea in China, I'd probably invest it into Kate Spade. If it were socially acceptable, and if I were a millionaire, I'd probably wear Kate Spade everyday. Yet, sadly this is reality and I am not a millionaire.
I love Kate Spade because they embody the epitome of class and sophistication. They remind me of my all time favorite movie star Audrey Hepburn, who also was a symbol of elegance.
I follow Kate Spade on IG (Instagram), and if you don't I suggest you do @Katespadeny, you won't be sorry. One of the things that they do is post little suggestions to do on their IG story. At first I'd read them and say okay, this is cute, but didn't think anything by it. It wasn't until yesterday that it all hit me.
There's a saying "Do what makes you happy," or "it's the little things in life." I never believed that was fully true until I got older. Now that I am half way through my twenties (how scary is that) I appreciate the small things, like watching a movie with a friend, or late night talks with someone you care about. Kate Spade understands that small things, that capitulates you out of the mundane, is the key. Or maybe just trying something new and different can be exciting as well. Therefore, yesterday they posted this.
This challenge is something easy enough and it was a beautiful day so I rose to the challenge. I called up a couple friends and I decided that I would do something different with my day.
My friend is a guru when it comes to finding cute places downtown that won't break your bank. Therefore, she suggested Howell and Hood, which is located conveniently on N Michigan ave. I made a reservation in advance and we had the opportunity to sit outside, absorb some much needed sunshine, and just talk.
Of course it wouldn't be a complete lunch date without a much needed glass of wine. It was nice to be able to do something so small, something we take for granted so easily, and just simply enjoy it.
I know this may sound cliche, but sometimes we take the smallest things in life for granted. There's plenty we should be thankful for, therefore I've started with a nice lunch outside.
My goal for myself is to try and complete these challenges at least twice a week. I know I started a bit late, but, I feel like it will be a wonderful adventure! I recruit you all if you want to follow me along this journey, maybe even start a new adventure of your own.
Until next time! Happy Saturday, get some sunshine, it always makes you feel better!
