Lost In a FairytaleGuys, I remember being a little girl, running around in my mom's dresses and heels, screaming to Disney movies at the top of my lungs. I would stare in awe at all the princesses on the television screen feeling enamored by their glorious gowns. I remember thinking, wow, I want to be like them and wear something fit for a ball. I felt just like a Disney princess in this lovely dress from Pink Lily Boutique all I needed was my pumpkin carriage. I think blush is perfect for the summer it fits so nicely against sun-kissed skin, but this dress comes in a bunch of other colors as well, all of them pastels. I love how the dress dips low in the back allowing you to expose all the lovely curves and inclines of your body. There's a fine floral mesh on top of the dress which makes it much more special for any occasion you'd be wearing it for. I always have a harder time with maxi, or long length dresses, because I am on the shorter side. Longer dresses tend to almost swallow me up. However, this dress fits perfectly, I did wear three inch heels underneath, but it didn't drag on the ground what so ever (Short people problems). I know a lot of weddings are occurring, it's summer lovin, and a lot of people are tying the knot! The best thing about this dress is it's elegant enough to wear for an engagement shoot, or can be worn to a wedding. My husband and I did a small mock engagement shoot just to show how romantic and fairy-tale like, this dress can actually be. I felt so much like Princess Aurora being whisked away by her Prince Charming. I have always been a fan of fairy-tales, damsel in distresses, and far away lands, so this dress was perfectly fit for me. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the dress on the boutique's website, they are out of stock, but I found someone selling it here! I have a lot of friends who are getting married this year but I have also seen a lot of people getting engaged. Therefore, I decided to list my favorite place to take engagement photos. I almost wish my husband and I would have utilized this fountain for our photos. Not only is the space gorgeous, giving off a Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett field, but you can also show your city pride by capturing a bit of the Chicago skyline in the background. I know it's a bit touristy, but, if you go later on in the day, at sunset, you can get not as much of a crowd and such jaw dropping pictures. I had to drag my husband to take photos with me here. Even though he hates taking pictures, he even had to agree that these came out pretty well. If you're searching for a beautiful, simple place to shoot your engagement photos in Chicago, I highly recommend at least taking one photo at Buckingham Fountain. Also, there's parking all along the street so you can carry your bag of changing clothes in your car, if you want to do a wardrobe change!
Thank you all again for reading my post! I hope you all have a happy HUMP day! Until next time! xoxo Rachel
